that might change everything

                WEDNESDAY 4/11/18 8:16AM--suddenly, using the Yamaha YG-235 keyboard drums seems so obvious...probably check that theory out later today...haven't yet given up on the 1180 Drums, but I have to summon the courage to call the Boss Tech Support...
           As for tonight, I'll likely be a guitar player; the Plan is to record some stuff with the phone...Whether I do or not depends on who I'm backing up...
            2:08PM--the nap lasted about an hour...I guess that's enough for my body, if not my soul...going down to the 1180 Lab...
         ONE HOUR LATER--it still takes me an hour to create 2 minutes of Music...and I DO think the 1180 drums will sound better...but I went ahead and recorded two tracks of Yamaha drums...one, a basic beat; the other, fills and cymbals...as for the 1180, I think I wrote and saved the rhythm arrangement I came up with the other day...after I settled on the drum track, I overdubbed a keyboard part...I changed kb patches once or twice--one while playing/recording, and the other, I kinda "punched in"...I wanna work on that process some more...I'll probably try that tomorrow...
          Seeing as I carried the amp up from the basement, I'll go to the IPO open mic as a guitarist...
   5:33PM--the roomie is gonna leave the house at about 6:15; that's probably when I'll leave too...all I gotta do is change shirts...
  6:45PM-I tried not to get here too early… It’s 6:45...I think the show starts at 7:30...sign-up starts at 7 PM...I’m the first one here that I know of...wait...OK we’re in business...
8:39PM- it’s entirely within the realm of possibility that I won’t get to play a single solitary note… mixed feelings about that... The front man of a Grateful Dead tribute band got up in butchered one of their songs… I think I could’ve done it better, not that that matters ultimately...and Elle seems to think she’s a really good singer...she might be, but I don’t think she is...she insists on singing notes only dogs can hear...
           I think I’m playing behind Michelle...and Ethan is here...LATER-The set with Michelle was NOT my best work, by a long shot...
          9:46PM-my set with Paul was better...and I think I’m playing behind George Hardman and one other player...and I haven’t recorded a damn thing yet...
  9:55PM-maybe I’m NOT playing behind George after all...I dunno what is going on...10:15PM-so I DID play behind the parody guy...the only chance I had to rock a bit...
